If you earn your degree online, it seems only fitting that you receive your degree there as well, and that is exactly what some of the students who earned an online paralegal degree at Bryant & Stratton College will be doing June 10th.
While there will be a flesh-and-blood graduation ceremony, there will also be a virtual graduation where the students will be handed their sheepskin in avatar form. The entire ceremony will be held in Second Life, including the procession, the commencement speaker and the conferring of degrees to students whose avatars will be expected to show up draped in proper caps and gowns.
Sheri Frost, a mother of four, went to paralegal school online, and will be attending the Second Life graduation.
"Going to school online has fulfilled a long time dream of mine - achieving a degree and setting a good example for my children," she told the Auburn Journal website. "To cap off the online education experience with a virtual graduation, with my family by my side, will be extremely rewarding."
Attending school online offers flexibility in when and where you earn your degree. If you've always wanted to get a paralegal degree but can't attend a traditional campus, maybe online paralegal training is the choice for you.
