The Wisconsin State Bar is offering a webcast for people who are curious as to what responsibilities come from being a paralegal and, in a timely twist, the talk will focus on bankruptcy situations.
According to the organization, the webcast will speak to how a paralegal can "effectively assist a bankruptcy team" as well as explain the role of paralegals during these types of legal proceedings.
Some of the topics that will reportedly be covered include pre-filing considerations, motion for relief and abandonment and the role of the Chapter 7 trustee.
The presentation is scheduled to take place on May 18 and requires interested parties to register ahead of time. Speaking at the web event will be Claire Ann Resop, who has lectured extensively for the U.S. Trustee Training program, and Jean Steele, a 20-year career paralegal with the Banking, Bankruptcy and Business Restructuring Practice Group of von Briesen & Roper.
