In a column on trends changing the face of paralegal jobs, Estrin points to a new position emerging in legal circles that paralegals can aspire to, the e-discovery manager. The e-discovery manager is expected to enable organizations to proactively prepare for litigation by handling the electronic records aspects. There are strict rules about e-discovery, and errors such as removing metadate during document productions can result in sanctions.
Estrin says that according to Inside Counsel magazine, e-managers could expect to earn $100,000 and $300,000 a year.
