An official from Wentworth Institute of Technology's professional and continuing studies division told the newspaper that enrollments had doubled last fall over the previous year. A number of other area schools mentioned in the report have also seen double-digit enrollment increases for certificate programs in recent months.
For many professionals who want to get ahead, these programs offer a good mix of training, flexibility and cost-effectiveness that working people need, especially in this economy. Those who complete paralegal programs will especially find themselves well positioned to work in a field that the federal government has estimated will grow by a considerable margin in the coming years.
